Let it Snow

Waking up at 4 am, of course I had to get up and peer out of the window to see if any of the expected snow had started to fall, but no. So, I knew when I woke up again after 6, and there was still no snow I was going to work. Upon arriving to work, the snow decided it would arrive as well. First starting out as a little flake, but then it poured. What is the verb that you would use for snow, I guess fall- but let's say falling with exponential power! I have been reading and thinking of the word "rend" recently. Rend means to violently tear. I always thought it meant give; however, no. The verse from Joel "Even now," declares the LORD,
"return to me with all your heart,
with fasting and weeping and mourning."
13 Rend your heart
and not your garments.
Return to the LORD your God,
for he is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and abounding in love,
and he relents from sending calamity.

Isaiah 64: 1 states "Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down,
that the mountains would tremble before you!"

And I guess as I saw the vast amount of snow- I thought of the word rend- rending the heavens- and the great outpouring, continually of mercy that the Lord has for us! He blankets us, covers us, makes us white as snow with His great continual, ever continual love! Love covers a multitude of sins
