A New Cell-y Phone

For those of you who know me, know that I have had an archiac cell phone for the last four years. Yes- no flip phone, no camera phone, no voice mail- however it was not an analog phone :) ha, ha. So I finally decided that I was going to switch my cell plan service to a more extensive one- one covering the nation, one with voicemail, one with 450 minutes compared to 75! So- I got really pumped thinking about my new cell phone- one with all the accessories. So today I was on the internet tracking where my new cell-y phone was. It got shipped from Maryland, then to Tennessee and this morning it was in Vandalia, before it made its trek up to Sidney. As I was drying my hair I was looking out the window to see if Mr. FedEx himself was out there. But, then the Holy Spirit was reminding me- that I need to be watching for Jesus. I want to be expectantly observing His return. I don't fully know what that means- but I want to watch with that anticipation. And with that Mr. Fed Ex came with my new cell-y phone :)

Praises and thankfulness

Good morning! As I was laying in bed this morning I was reflecting on all of the praises of my King and thanking Him this morning. I was sad- that I had waited until morning to thank Him for all of His doings. Here are the praises to the LORD:
- Thank You Lord for yesterday for all of the gifts and homemade gifts from my kiddos
- Thanksgiving for songs of praise- singing with Paula and the girls
- Thanksgiving for technology that worked! For LCD projectors!
- Thanksgiving for the body of Christ!
- Thanksgiving for teamwork- I love it!!!
- Thanksgiving to my LORD for helping me with leadership
- Thanksgiving for more gifts
- Thanksgiving for leadership of others
- Thanksgiving for how You were present last night at the youth; for the ones that came
- Thanksgiving for what you will do not only in Kansas City at One Thing but for the wonders of things to come!!

Thank You my LORD! Thank You that your mercies are new every morning!

O Come O Come oh Windshield Wiper!

Clutching the steering wheel and keeping the gas pedal at a nice and slow and steady speed due to the snow I ventured home traveling on I-75 North from Lebanon Ohio. My windshield wipers are the most obstinate accessory of my Ginger (my Honda Civic). In years past I've been in downpours of rain and the wipers decide to come off. The wiper somehow gets out of its track and turns 90 degrees- so that the wiper remains on my windshield; however is not beneficial and makes a high-pitched scratching noise. So as I'm driving home I have my windshield wipers on a medium speed due to the snow and then the ice starts forming, so I put it on the high speed. As I'm driving on 75 I approach the diverging of the I-75 from route 4 and that is when my windshield wiper decides to act obstinate and come off its track. There is no where for me to pull over- so I continue to pray and shift my body to the right so I can see. As I'm driving I'm thinking to myself- how vital it is to see both physically and spiritually. When we can't see things how God sees them we are in danger; I can go off into a ditch and get off the course. So as I got off the road and repositioned my wiper and had my prayer warriors praying, the course became much smoother as I regained my sight. Oh Lord- would you help us to see You, open our eyes Jesus- give us eyes to see Your kingdom, for if we don't we get off the course and it becomes dangerous- we may not only hurt ourselves but others.

He Speaks

God continually amazes me, in that He does speak. Sometimes I think we may have head knowledge of that statement, but do we really believe it? Do we really come with anticipation of Him speaking to us and directing us? This week I've been praying for direction on what to speak about- and over, and over He has confirmed what He wants to speak. Thank You LORD that You do speak!
